A self-assured performance by Clinton in Democratic
Everyone had their own goal: Hillary wanted to prove her stripes as leader, Bernie wanted to prove he was a serious candidate that could win, and Chafee, O’Malley and Webb wanted on the map. On morning cable news programs, Granholm could barely contain her glee. She said he hadn’t.

Clinton could have been equally generous, after CNN moderator Anderson Cooper asked Sanders about being a democratic socialist, and said, “enough of this damn socialist label, let’s debate the issues”.
Has your impression of the candidates changed after the debate? Biden watched the Tuesday matchup from Washington.
Standing center stage, Clinton went on offense against Bernie Sanders over his views of the economy and record on gun control.
Sanders was scheduled to attend a taping of “The Ellen Degeneres Show”, which has become a popular stop for presidential hopefuls. Trump, who it should be noted added more Twitter followers on the evening than all of the Democratic candidates combined, had his campaign cut a quick video decrying Sanders’s lack of “tough” or “strong” leadership on Instagram. Clinton wasn’t prepared to support legalization at the debate, but the day after the debate, she has stated that the federal government shouldn’t interfere with the marijuana laws in Colorado and other states that are leading the way.
“We got a lot of business done with the Russians when Medvedev was president”, Clinton said, referring to former Russian President and current Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. By Wednesday morning, Sanders was displaying a clip of the exchange on his Facebook page.
He asked, “Were there 15 million people watching him on Twitter?”
According to the poll, seventy-nine percent of Democratic insiders said Clinton won the debate handily.
And there were intermittent attempts to take down one candidate or the other.
The big loser in Tuesday night’s Democratic debate wasn’t Jim Webb or Lincoln Chafee or Martin O’Malley. The sole female Democratic nominee did not even mentioning her gender until an hour and a half into the debate, remarking that being the first female president would distinguish her from President Obama. “Since it was passed, more than 2 million prohibited purchases have been prevented”, Clinton said.
“I’m a reluctant Clinton supporter, but I thought she killed it tonight”, said one South Carolina Democrat.
Clinton, meanwhile, already is widely known to the electorate. It made politics, temporarily, feel like something done by people who read actual books instead of talking points.

“What people can trust about me is what people in every position I’ve ever held…know about me”, she said.
