The staffs of the supermarket says that the customer have complained about the birds but they can’t do anything, as the birds are protected species in West Sussex.
The store bosses have asked for help to the council for getting rid of the birds from their market.
House sparrows are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, which makes it illegal to intentionally kill them or damage an active nest or its contents.
