After one too many cocktails, people have been know to let their personal morals slip. “I think it’s important for friends of these “vegetarians” to support them when drunk and urge them not to eat meat, as I’m sure they regret it the next day”, Charles told The Independent.
A new study has found that loads of vegetarians are cheats and drunk messes, with a third of vegetarians eating meat when they’re hammered. But the majority of those polled who admit they’ve fallen of the vegetarian wagon while imbibing say it happens a lot.
The two most popular choices, however, were meat kebabs for 39 percent, and burgers for 34 percent of vegetarians-when-sober. In the U.K, Middle Eastern kebab shops are as ubiquitous as New York City pizza places and offer a wide variety of options from skewers to wraps and platters.
Twenty-seven per cent of the lapsing veggies said they ate bacon, while 19 per cent opted for fried chicken and 14 per cent confessed to munching on sausages.
