A Trump-Flynn matchup could be complicated by party politics
Trump, who veered from his speech on veterans issues to discuss the violence, also stressed that he is the candidate of compassion.

The presumptive Republican nominee would not confirm who was still on the list, but said “people will have great respect” for the selection he makes.
Trump later told WAVY-Virginia Monday that Flynn is “a very capable guy”. He tells Fox News it’s an honor to even be in the mix and believes he could offer a lot to Trump’s campaign.
“I think it’s a – I think for women – and these are hard issues, but I think women have to be able to choose what they – you know, sort of the right of choice, but I think that that’s a hard legal decision that – and I think that women are so important in that decision-making process”, Flynn said Sunday, “they are the ones that have to make the decision, because they’re the ones that are going to decide to bring up that child or not”.
Flynn’s background as the former top military intelligence official would also certainly help the Trump campaign hammer his rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, over her unauthorized use of a private email server. But in the interview with the AP, he said “I would choose life”.
Gen. Michael T. Flynn, director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and Congressman Mike Turner speak following a Monday tour of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
“Every elected delegate has to sign a pledge that they will vote for Donald Trump in round number one, now if somebody says they are not going to do that they will no longer be a delegate”, said Avinash Iragavarpu.
Flynn said that his priorities, however, are “national security” issues and that the election in November is not focused on “social issues, gay rights and abortion rights”. “We’re thinking about – actually there are two of them that are under consideration”, Trump said recently on Fox News, as quoted by Politico.
