According to the police, the devices were surreptitiously used to film the video at the AAP leader’s residence in Sultanpuri in northwest Delhi.

Ashutosh took to Twitter to defend himself against the allegations, where he accused NCW chairperson Lalitha Kumaramangalam for being close to the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre. “I have complained how a woman was harassed by men occupying constitutional positions, how the Gujarat police/intelligence machinery snooped on that woman”, he said.
He said, “I have said what I wanted to say to the Commission”.
However, Kumaramangalam said she would not indulge in “a war of words” with Ashutosh when asked about the latter’s claim that she had promised action in the snoopgate. “When you are in public life there are standards of rectitude that everybody is supposed to adhere to, man or woman”, she said.
Disclosing his decision to appear before NCW, Ashutosh tweeted today, “I have chose to appear before NCW tomorrow as I have been asked by the panel, to present my views (sic)”.
The NCW later said in a statement that it was not satisfied with Ashutosh’s response and would “further examine the matter as per its mandate”.
