AAP minister Sandeep Kumar’s private secretary held for ‘circulating’ sex clip

Police sources said they were seeking legal opinion about whether to file a separate case against Mr. Praveen based on Mr. Kumar’s statement or to name him in the same case registered under Sections 376 (rape) of the IPC as well as Sections 66E (violation of privacy) and 67A (publishing sexually explicit content) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

The woman has alleged that she had gone to meet the minister to seek help in obtaining a ration card and was asked to wait at the minister’s office.

She alleged that Kumar offered her soft drinks laced with sedatives following which she failed to recall the exact sequence of events or how she had acted.

The woman alleged that Kumar had told her that he will get a ration card for her and ensure jobs for her children.

In his blog, Ashutosh had defended Sandeep Kumar over an “objectionable” CD, saying it was a “consensual” act and that he had done no wrong.

Naik said, “Resorting to putting up such posters is the worst example of politics”.

“Commission has taken a note in the larger interest because we feel that as a spokesperson of a party that governs Delhi and a party whose members have been accused of many incidents of violence against women he should not be writing a blog like this which reeks of patriarchy and misogyny”, she had said.

The personal secretary of sacked Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar was today questioned again by police in connection with the rape case filed against the latter.

Sandeep, who is being interrogated by the police, has claimed innocence in the matter.

On Sunday, police had conducted searches at the residence of the minister and his acquaintances. A court on Monday extended his police custody till September 8. Sandeep, who was sacked as Social Welfare Minister and suspended from the Aam Aadmi Party, following surfacing of the objectionable video, was arrested on Saturday by the police. He was on his way to surrender, when we arrested him.

He had written a column focusing on removal of one of his party leader Sandeep Kumar and his involvement in the sex tape case.
