Aaron Dobson Injury: Updates on Patriots WR’s Ankle and Return
Monday brought the addition of another wide receiver to the list. White added a 6-yard TD run in the third that put the Patriots ahead for good.

After shouting the name of the Buffalo coach as an audible, Brady led New England to a 20-13 victory over the Bills on Monday night and kept the defending Super Bowl champions on course for their second flawless regular season in nine years.
Amendola wasn’t in the locker room when reporters arrived after the win, but his health was naturally on the mind of his teammates, as LaFell said his thoughts were with not only Amendola, but also fellow receiver Aaron Dobson, who left in the second quarter with an ankle injury and didn’t return.
Amendola is likely to miss at least a game because of the short week, but the Patriots keep injuries shrouded in secrecy.
Brady was tagged by the Bills’ multi-layered pass rush, hit 10 times and knocked down seven. Dobson saw four targets on New England’s game-winning drive at MetLife Stadium, catching one for five yards and a first down. The Patriots changed their offensive line personnel on the second and third series in an attempt to better protect their quarterback, subbing Sebastian Vollmer for Cameron Fleming at right tackle and then Bryan Stork for David Andrews at center.
Reminiscent of their comeback bid in Week 2, the Bills rallied late in the fourth quarter when receivers Sammy Watkins (15 yards) and Chris Hogan (42 yards) made great catches to set up Dan Carpenter’s 33-yard field goal with 3:30 remaining. New England’s Jonathan Freeny picked it and rumbled 5 yards before he lost the ball and it bounced out of bounds.
We’ll have the inactives for both the Patriots and Bills published here about 90 minutes before kickoff tonight.
Even the referees were sloppy.
After a long discussion, the referee announced that there was an inadvertent whistle. It was unclear why the whistle was blown, as no flag was thrown as Brady & Amendola have been both well in bounds.

The Patriots took over at the Buffalo 30 and took a 20-10 lead on Gostkowski’s 35-yard field goal. The Patriots waived the white flag on third-and-10 with a draw for White, who gained 8 yards.
