Throughout the first day of the DNC, Sanders supporters refused to sit quietly and accept the Clinton convention, booing mentions of the presumptive nominee. “Hillary Rotten Clinton, right?”
“Together, we have begun a political revolution to transform America and that revolution continues”, Sanders continued. She said she was not now planning on any action and wanted to hear from Sanders.
Seeking to avoid a nationally televised display of disunity, Sanders urged his supporters to back Clinton. Kaine said having a president who would be married to a former president is an “embarrassment of riches”.
Liberal heroine Elizabeth Warren slammed Trump as a man who skipped on his debts and cheated other people, while saying Clinton was one of the “smartest, toughest most tenacious people on this planet”. She highlighted that on Thursday, 13 million people are set to leave the Democratic Party in protest to Clinton’s nomination.

Many of them were among the several hundred protesters who walked about four miles from downtown Philadelphia to the arena in time for the opening gaveling. “This election is not about and has never been about Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump or Bernie Sanders or any of the other candidates who sought the presidency”, he said.
