Aaron Rodgers: ‘We got our mojo going’
Other than the final score of 38-8, the most memorable number from the Arizona Cardinals’ demolition of the Green Bay Packers in Week 16 was their nine sacks. “We just needed a game like this to get our mojo back, to get our confidence going”, said Rodgers. One thing the Packers need to focus on is the regular season finale where the Seattle Seahawks handled the Cardinals and destroyed them 36-6. The Cardinals had made it to the Super Bowl against Pittsburgh Steelers in Tampa Bay, Florida, Feb. 1, 2009.

The victory this weekend means Green Bay Packers have moved on to play at the Arizona Cardinals in a divisional round matchup on Saturday. QB Carson Palmer had an MVP-caliber season and established more team records (and career bests of his own) with 4,671 passing yards and 35 TDs.
The Packers and Aaron Rodgers looked good after win over the Redskins.
Green Bay can win this game and they showed that by the way they manhandled the Washington Redskins in the Wild Card Round, and really did it in just three quarters.
Running backs Eddie Lacy and James Starks both crossed for touchdowns as the Packers booked a visit to Phoenix next Saturday to face the Arizona Cardinals.
In Sunday’s games the Seattle Seahawks managed to go in and win in Minnesota in -6 degree weather.
Last time, Rodgers was sacked eight times, losing two fumbles that the Cardinals recovered and returned for touchdowns.
“Not to parrot the coach, but like he’s always said, if you have the right coach and the right players working the right way, you’re going to be effective no matter where you are”, Vikings President Mark Wilf said.
And Rodgers added his second scoring toss of the quarter with 28 seconds left, a 10-yarder to Adams that gave the Packers a 17-11 halftime lead.
“Like I say to you guys every week, it’s our execution and making the plays that are there”, Adams said.
“Heading into Arizona, if they can play four quarters like they did yesterday, I think they have a legit shot”, one another caller.
“You get in the postseason, everybody has an equal opportunity”.
And why not? He has a lot more fun when his offense is balanced – and the Green Bay Packers score seemingly at will.
“I’d like to tell all the naysayers – how about those Packers and what they did yesterday”, said one caller to The Fan 107.5 in Green Bay.
Historically, home-field advantage is at its weakest in the wild-card round – the home team has won 57.7 percent of matchups during the wild-card round, close to the regular season mark of 53.9 percent.
Whatever the reasons behind the rejuvenated offense, the Packers are feeling much better about themselves than this time last week. Larry Fitzgerald and John Brown have combined for 2,218 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns while Michael Floyd has 52 receptions. The key for us is, when we got some tempo going, got some first downs, we became a snowball kind of going downhill and it was tough for us to stop.
