Her book, “Molly’s Game: High Stakes, Hollywood’s Elite, Hotshot Bankers, My Life in the World of Underground Poker”, was published in 2014.

Aaron Sorkin, he of the overwrought dialogue, will make his directorial debut with Molly’s Game.

When Molly Bloom was a little girl growing up in a small Colorado town, she watched her brothers win medals, ace tests, and receive high praise from everyone they met. Molly wanted nothing more than to bask in that glow a little herself, so she pushed herself too – as a student, as an athlete. Molly’s game became the game for those in the know-celebrities, business moguls, and millionaires.

The story centers on Molly Bloom, a political science major who took a year off from law school and wound up operating the most elite, high-stakes poker game in Hollywood for eight years.

Molly’s Game is an incredible coming-of-age story about a young girl who rejected convention in pursuit of her version of the American dream.

Sorkin won an Oscar for writing The Social Network and was nominated, along with Steve Zaillian, for Moneyball.
