The airport was never fully closed during the tense incident, but police did lock the building’s front doors during the arrest, MacDonald said. The victim’s description of the man included that he had a teardrop tattoo under his eye.

He was at a auto rental kiosk, and was openly wearing what appeared to be a rifle bag over his shoulder, said Const. Ian MacDonald.

The suspect is described as a man in his 20s with medium-length brown hair and a moustache. The APD says eventually, the suspect parked and walked up to the girl.

“He attempted to try to entice her with offers of liquor and a ride to work”.

The male passerby then sat with the teenager until her bus arrived. As she was trying to fight him off, a nearby Good Samaritan intervened and the suspect ran off.
