ABC News apologizes for labeling OJ Simpson deposition tapes ‘exclusive’
“His co-host Robin Roberts also tweeted, “@EVargasABC is @GMA w/ a preview of her @ABC2020 exclusive, never before seen tapes of OJ Simpson in his own words about his wife’s death”. Attorney Daniel Petrocelli, representing Goldman’s father, questioned Simpson for 13 days in connection with the civil case, according to ABC News. Simpson denies hitting his ex-wife and claims he thought what Petrocelli was calling “bruises” on Nicole’s face was actually make-up.

The ABC News story flashed the headline “never before seen videos revealed” as correspondent Elizabeth Vargas launched into her introduction by telling viewers they were about to hear some of Simpson’s “chilling testimony” about his relationship with his ex-wife, Nicole, “for the first time”.
Until now the VHS tapes have barely been seen by anyone other than lawyers who worked on the case, but they were released as part of a documentary called “OJ Speaks: The Hidden Tapes” and shown by TV network ABC News.
A portion of the tapes will air on ABC News 20/20 at 10 p.m. ET Friday.

Simpson replied: “I think any marks that’s on her, I take full responsibility for”.
“His story was, ‘Uh, well, yeah that’s me in the picture, but that, those are not my shoes, ‘ ” Petrocelli said.
Eventually in the deposition, Simpson admits to hurting his ex-wife, but won’t say how he hurt her.
When he was shown police photographs of Nicole with a bruised face and a cut lip, Simpson initially said: “It reflects doing a movie that we’re doing and we’re doing make-up”. “The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, ‘He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it'”.
Although her former flame was arrested, and all the evidence seemed to indicate he was the murderer, he ended up being acquitted in 1995.
Petrocelli: “You had your fingers around her throat, correct?”
“It’s astonishing to watch him”. Jenner and Brown Simpson were best friends in the years leading up to her killing, and Simpson himself was in Jenner’s wedding party when she married Robert Kardashian.

The killer of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman left the footprint of a size 12 Bruno Magli shoe, a luxury Italian brand, in blood at the crime scene. “Aesthetically, I felt that they were ugly and I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and to me they were ugly shoes”. He claimed he would never have purchased such shoes.
