Clinton was briefed on the incidents Saturday shortly after her speech at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation dinner in Washington. Clinton, his former secretary of state, was honored for becoming the first female presidential nominee of a major party.

“My name may not be on the ballot, but our progress is on the ballot”, he told the Washington D.C. crowd.

“I will consider it a personal insult-an insult to my legacy-if this community lets down its guard and fails to activate itself in this election”. “I think it’s also wiser to wait until you have information before making conclusions because we are just in the beginning stages of trying to determine what happened”.

Pennsylvania is a state that Clinton and Republican candidate Donald Trump are counting on to win enough electoral votes to become the next president.

Obama joked about the “birther” issue long promoted and now dismissed by Trump, telling his audience that there’s an extra spring in his step now that the “whole birther thing is over”.

Obama will outline accomplishments from his eight years, but will argue more work is left to be done, so electing Clinton is essential. Pence maintained on “ABC This Week” that Trump had accepted Obama’s being born in the U.S.

“I hope someone will ask Donald Trump, ‘When you were doing that, did you believe it, and if you believed it, how could you have been so gullible or conspiratorial, or if you didn’t believe it, what were you doing dragging us back to the most painful chapter of American life?”

“I get frustrated hearing folks say, ‘You know, we’re so excited with Barack, we love Michelle, they take Hillary for granted, ‘” Obama told syndicated host Frankie Darcell. “We will educate him”. Mr Mook said then: “A person seeking to be the president of the United States should not suggest violence in any way”.

Clinton gave a shorter address.

Clinton has called for a softening of immigration practices, saying she would deport only violent criminals and terrorists, a position in stark contrast to Trump’s vow to build a border wall and deport huge numbers of the undocumented.

Speaking later about the stakes in the election, Clinton quipped, “it is not about golf course promotions or birth certificates”.

“This threat is real, but so is our resolve”, Clinton said, adding that she “is the only candidate in this race” with relevant national security experience.
