Abducted woman found dead in Washington County barn
Tierne Ewing told authorities last month that her sadistic husband pistol-whipped her, spat on her, and branded her legs with a with a piece of hot metal, according to a criminal complaint charging him with kidnapping, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and false imprisonment. Heckman said police found a.22 caliber firearm, a sleeping bag and other camping items on the second floor of the barn, indicating Kevin Ewing planned to be there for a long time.

Police say the Ewings may be traveling in a silver Honda sedan but did not know in which direction the two were heading.
Police have not yet charged Ewing in his wife’s death.
Trooper Stefani Plume has said Ewing cut off the ankle device and left it at home before abducting his wife Tuesday.
A Pennsylvania medical examiner says a man hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after the kidnapping and death of his wife is now brain dead.
It was not immediately clear if the couple proceeded on foot or in another vehicle, but police warned that Ewing should be considered armed and risky.
When he unexpectedly posted $100,000 bond on July 11, a prosecutor asked a judge to put him back in jail given the seriousness of the offenses, Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone said. A police spokeswoman said that, after holding his wife captive for almost a day, Ewing ended her life sometime before 11 p.m on Tuesday. Authorities found the body of Tierne Ewing, 48, at around 11 p.m., but Kevin Ewing was nowhere to be found. Ewing held his wife for almost a day this second time, before he took her life in a barn in West Finley Township, which is located in Washington County.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that police officers from Washington County and South Strabane “surrounded a barn” that was near to the place where the they had discovered Ewing’s vehicle earlier in the day.
Police say the woman has a protection-from-abuse order against Ewing from the earlier incident which occurred from June 26 to July 8. He was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet, but the device wasn’t programmed to provide Global Positioning System information.
In an interview with the New York Daily News, Kopko called Ewing nuts.
Tierne Ewing escaped when her husband sent her into a credit union to withdraw money and she told tellers she was being held against her will and feared that her husband would kill her. There was no sign of Tierne Ewing or Kevin Ewing at the time. He also allegedly locked her in a closet. He was also made to wear an ankle bracelet that would alert authorities if he left the home.
He then cut off his electronic ankle bracelet and handed it to his mother before leaving, she told police.

“She was scared to death of him”. He said that Ewing had been harrassing his daughter since he first met her, when they were both in eighth grade together.
