Court documents unsealed on Tuesday revealed that former Penn State assistant Mike McQueary testified in a deposition that Bradley told him about several incidents of Jerry Sandusky’s abuse that he personally witnessed.

The man, known in the court document as John Doe 150, was 14 years old at the time.

The attention will center, as it invariably does, on Paterno, and an alleged victim’s statement that the head coach “didn’t want to hear that stuff” when he tried to report Sandusky molesting him in 1976. ‘I said, is that all you’re going to do?

Go Joe Bruin will bring you the latest information as it becomes available. In ignoring the complaints, Doe 150 testified, Paterno said he had a football season to worry about.

Mark Scolforo of the AP reported in June that Sandusky, who’s now serving a 30- to 60-year sentence for 45 counts of child sexual abuse, is being granted hearings in August to determine whether he has a basis to overturn the conviction.

While Schiano served as defensive backs coach under Sandusky during his five-year stint with the Nittany Lions that ended in 1996, the charges against Sandusky covered the years 1994-2006.

“I was shocked and saddened, when I heard about Jerry Sandusky”, Paterno told the Washington Post in the last interview before his death in January 2012.

McQueary: “He said he knew of some things”. Penn State paid out almost $93 million to victims, and is attempting to get reimbursed by its insurance company.

A lawyer for Bradley, now a coach at UCLA, said they’re reviewing the court documents.

“[Bradley] said another assistant coach had come to him in the early 90s about a very similar situation to mine, and he said that he had-someone had come to him as early as the 80s about seeing Jerry Sandusky doing something with a boy”, McQueary said.

In a statement released through his representative Brett Senior, Bradley denied the allegations. According to recently unsealed court documents, the legendary Penn State head coach had the opportunity to do much more much earlier than once thought – and failed miserably.

Anybody who ever worked at Penn State near Sandusky during his years there is forever tainted, whatever their knowledge or lack of knowledge, fair or not.

The newly unsealed documents also provide additional information about encounters in 1987 and 1988 that accusers claim were witnessed by coaching staff.

Penn State president Eric Barron said in a statement speculation about what staff members at the university knew is not helpful. “I think all those questions have been answered years ago”, he said.

The university has acknowledged paying out millions in settlements relating to the Sandusky case.

But lawyer Ken Feinberg, who helped mediate claims against the university, said Penn State was diligent in making sure the claims were supported by sufficient proof.
