A man testified in court in 2014 that Paterno ignored complaints of abuse by Sandusky in 1976, when the man was then a 14-year-old boy.
The man’s lawyer asked him in 2014, “Is it accurate that Coach Paterno quickly said to you, “I don’t want to hear about any of that kind of stuff; I have a football season to worry about”?”
“‘Specifically. Yes.I was shocked, disappointed, offended, ‘” the man answered, according to court papers.
“I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning, but that Greg had come into [Bradley’s] office white as a ghost and said he just say Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower”, McQueary said in his deposition.

Here are the other explosive details revealed in the documents, which were part of a civil suit.
Doe 75 alleged that when he was 13 in 1987, assistant Penn State football coach Joe Sarra walked in on him while Sandusky had his hands down his shorts.
Prior to testimonies like this one, the earliest any Penn State official was thought to be aware of Sandusky’s crimes was 1998 (at least that’s the line the school had been pushing).
“I was insulted”, said the man, who is among more than 30 Sandusky accusers paid nearly $93 million by Penn State.
“Generally speaking, it appears as though the amounts of the settlement were high and in some cases extremely high”, Anderson said in a report. Paterno died from lung cancer in January 2012. In fact, consistent with University rules, Joe reported an allegation about Sandusky to administration officials …
– A report by an alleged victim that was referred to Penn State Athletic Director Jim Tarman in 1988. Penn State settled with 32 victims, paying them almost $93 million.
Sandusky, an assistant coach at Penn State for 30 years until 1999, is now serving up to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing 10 boys while at the university.
Wick Sollers said the accusations in newly unsealed court documents have never been subjected to even the most basic objective examination.
Penn State president Eric Barron issued a statement regarding the documents in which he said “speculation by Penn State is not useful” and “serves to drive a wedge within the Penn State community”. We must be sensitive to all individuals involved, and especially to those who may be victims of child sexual abuse.

His redacted statement released in Philadelphia’s Court of Common Pleas was among excerpts of depositions by accusers who said they reported abuse to Paterno or his assistants in the 1970s and 1980s.
