The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Central Minnesota, including St. Cloud, with 6-9 inches of snow possible on Monday and Tuesday.

The snow will continue into Tuesday; becoming more scattered Tuesday afternoon as the system begins to wrap up. Snow accumulations are expected, with the highest amounts near the North Dakota/South Dakota border. If it shifts north or south, that will have a BIG impact on snowfall totals across the region. Adria Iraheta, a reporter for KVII-TV who was on the scene, commented via Periscope that “We are in the middle of Winter Storm Cara and as you can see… there is ice all over the road”, Weather.com said.
