It referred to Love-Robinson as “Dr.” and had acronyms after his name, such as HHP-C, which is used for those involved in home health and personal care, and Ph.D., which is generally not a medical degree. WTTG reports the woman – who is said to be a distant relative – told law enforcement she didn’t know she was listed a co-signer. That was not the only thing that perked their interest however, he also stated that he was a doctor and made $120,000.
When deputies arrived and spoke to Love-Robinson he said that he was in Virginia to buy two cars, one for him and one for his godmother.
Once at the dealership, deputies asked the woman if she would willingly co-sign to purchase the vehicle, but she said no.
A check with her credit card company revealed there had been a $1,200 charge the previous day for two iPad tablets and a cell phone that she had not purchased.
Love-Robinson has denied all the charges and is now being held in the Rappahannock Regional Jail in Stafford, Va., while officials continue to investigate the latest incident, the AP reported.
Details on the new grand theft charge were not available. He told employees he was a medical doctor and vice president of a practice in South Florida.
The bank refused to cash the check, saying the account was closed.
“Mr. Love-Robinson had been bragging to the employees of the dealership earlier that day about two iPads he had recently purchased”, the sheriff’s office said.
Malachi Alexander Love-Robinson, 19, of West Palm Beach, was charged with false statements to obtain credit, obtaining money by false pretenses and identity fraud.

The teen was illegally operating a medical practice – complete with an office, a lab coat and stethoscope – but had no license to do so, authorities in Palm Beach County said.
“She advised she had no intentions of doing so”, Lenhart said.
He told her she suffered from arthritis and sold her vitamins, charging her $3,494, which she paid by check.
He was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on bail, with a stipulation of his release being that he must notify the court should he leave the state.
Love-Robinson was arrested by the deputies and charged.
