The Acer R11 Chromebook features a 36-degree hinge design that can be folded backward or forward, depending on how you want to use it. It’s like any normal Chrome OS-powered notebook but it can also transform into a laptop, a display, or a pad. Even better, its audio channel output will automatically reverse itself as the display changes orientation. The Chromebook R 11 supports both landscape and portrait pad modes. The dual-torque hinges keep the display secure and stable during touch control and while switching between the modes.

The reason why the Chromebook R 11 is able to assume all of those gymnastical modes can be attributed to the company’s patented 360 degrees dual-torque hinge design, so that one is able to manipulate the display to any degree that is most comfortable for the setting. Another selling point for the company is Chrome OS’s reputation for security, with automatic updates and the “Supervised Users” feature.

Following the success of Chromebook line since Acer entered the space in 2011, the Chromebook R 11 is Acer’s first convertible notebook. The devices impresses with its LED-backlit LCD screen that features an integrated 10-point touch, offering several useful and easy gestures like Swipe, Tap, and Pinch to Zoom.

The Acer Chromebook R 11 is the ideal device for a range of customers who view, edit, create and collaborate in programs such as Microsoft Office Online documents and Google Docs. But the Chromebook segment of the market remains one of Acer’s strong suits.
