Acer Predator 8 tablet announced, coming to the U.S. for $299
We were all looking at a Predator tablet (which they did unveil as well) but we didn’t see a gaming smartphone coming.

The Predator 8 tablet supports Predator Quadio, an array of four speakers with a special DSP algorithm to enhance sound quality with virtual surround, in addition to Predator TacSense, which provides haptic feedback for games and videos.
Today at IFA Acer has announced a number of new products relating to gaming.
Acer also highlighted its Predator XB1 Series gaming monitors, which include 27-inch and 28-inch models. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s new Helio X20 processor, which features 10-cores. Designed for those with a need for speed, the Predator 15 and Predator 17 gaming notebooks combine powerful 6th Gen Intel Core processors with NVIDIA GeForce graphics, fast DDR4 memory, PCIe solid state drives, advanced cooling and stellar audio capabilities. And that’s not just fluff: the company has packed the device with some serious technology, including Intel’s Atom X7 processor, four front-facing speakers, and a lovely 8-inch display. “The first one sports an aggressive 17.3″ 1080p display, while the second comes with a 15.6” one, in full HD and 4K options, thus offering the best resolutions available in mobile gaming at the moment.
Both the Predator 6 and Predator 8 will run Android 5.1 when they launch. Acer has thrown in what it’s describing as a denser touch matrix, too, for both more accuracy as well as the ability to use anything with a roughly 2mm nib as a stylus. Acer says the vibrations are just like those on a gaming controller.

The Acer Predator 8 GT-810 will be available in North America for $299.99 exclusively at Newegg for 2 weeks beginning on November 6. Not much else is known about the unit’s specs sheet, except that its camera sensor will offer an impressive resolution of 21MP.
