Acer’s Liquid Zest Plus phone lasts for days with a 5000mAh battery

The handset includes a 5.5-inch display, along with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. It looks good and its battery life seems to be fantastic, but its mid-range specs mean that it’s not the zippiest of phones out there.

The Acer Liquid Zest Plus is a single SIM () smartphone.

Acer is well-known for its computer offerings, but much less so when it comes to smartphones – which is probably why the company is putting its focus on surprising, standout features for new devices. The handset will also feature an 5MP front camera with auto-focus technology.

Acer was a bit coy when it came to the specs of the Liquid Zest Plus, but it did tease a few features that may sell the device when it eventually hits stores.

Inside, the Zest packs a Mediatek 6735 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Though it may sound more like a bathroom cleaning product than a smartphone, the device’s main attraction is its 5000 mAh battery.

According to the makers of this smartphone, the battery life has the ability to supply adequate power for consecutive two days; however I believe that with such massive amount of juice the phone may last even longer since my HTC 10 already survives for almost two and a half days after charging it fully.

Oukitel has done monster batteries before but never before has it developed a battery this large. The difference? Acer’s new phone will cost a third of what you pay for an S7 Edge.
