Acquaintance says elderly shooter was distant
Police say it started around 11:11 a.m. on Wednesday when a resident shot three people at the complex.

The two victims who were wounded were transported to Cheynne Regional Medical Center for treatment. Rosenberg, armed with a.22 caliber handgun and a rifle, shot one person inside the Heritage Court Apartments in Cheyenne, and two people outside, as he attempted to flee and evade the police. The care home was cordoned off by police as they combed the scene. Three police officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave.

Multiple shootings are a rarity in Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming with a resident population of just over 60,000 people. City police handled six homicide cases a year ago, the department’s annual report said.
