Kaepernick has said that his protest is due to police brutality and the racism that black people face.

Over the weekend, Kansas City Chiefs player Marcus Peters and New England Patriots Martellus Bennett and Devin McCourty raised their fists in the air while the anthem played. “He exercised his constitutional rights without disturbing the school assembly and he is not being disciplined in any way by his actions”. During the segment, Sharpe expressed strong disagreement with his ex-teammate’s Kaepernick stance, and had little to say about Dilfer personally. Along the way, the social turmoil became less of a conversation and more of yelling match. Numerous people who made America great, and its symbols worth standing for, made their contributions far from the battlefield or the crime scene – in courtrooms, in schoolhouses, in boardrooms, in laboratories and on shop floors. His actions have been criticized as disrespectful to the US and to USA veterans.

“I’m for it being used, in every way we can, to support the great contributors in our society – that is people that have supported America, and the flag …”

Other players have chosen to join Kaepernick in his protest.

Jamilah Nasheed, a St Louis Democrat, said her silent protest on the Senate floor on Wednesday was meant to show solidarity with the San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

He told reporters, “I’m not anti-American”.

Included in the “Top Ten” list are some of the most egregious allegations imaginable – all with a heavy spin expected of forces that would love to topple America. That’s why I’m doing this. So whatever you believe, believe in to the utmost.

I am not saying people should not stand up for what they believe.

The San Francisco 49ers backup quarterback initially sat and then kneeled when The Star-Spangled Banner was played before preseason games. Those vets say they fought precisely to protect the freedom of Kaepernick and others to speak out.

If you thought the national anthem protesting was just going to be a football thing, think again. Therefore, football fans are wondering if, despite his accomplished athletic history, his political statement won’t be the culmination of his legacy.
