Actor Randy Quaid Arrested in Canada (Again)

USA actor Randy Quaid has been detained by the Canadian border agency and claims he is being threatened with deportation because of a property dispute in California. His wife Evi Quaid, who was granted a Canadian citizenship in 2012, said that the arrest was unexpected and the reason for her husband’s detention remains unclear. The actor had shown up at the agency for a regular check-in that was part of a release deal struck after a May arrest for missing an Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) interview.

The kooky couple first fled to Canada in 2010 because they were supposedly hiding from “star-whackers”, who they believe are running around willy-nilly killing celebrities.

Quaid said that his disappearance was borne out of fear of being separated from his wife after he was denied a permanent residency status in 2012.

“I probably will get arrested for all that”. Image view YouTubeIn a sketchy account, TMZ said a law enforcement source in Santa Barbara – “where Quaid has several warrants out for his arrest” – said Quaid would be seized after he’s brought back to the United States.

“At this point, I desire nothing more than to fully co-operate with any restrictions or conditions”, Quaid said.

Quaid, a Texas native, and his wife were arrested in California in 2010 on suspicion of burglary and entering a building without consent.

Quaid appeared before the board Thursday for a detention review. “I would like to have the issues in Santa Barbara resolved so I can move on with my life”. He was freed after ponying up a $10,000 bond, and he was required to check in with officials.

Quaid’s lawyer, Mark Gruszczynski, refused to give a comment regarding Quaid’s circumstance or any information surrounding the arrest.

After arriving in Canada in 2010, the Quaids lived in Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa before moving to Montreal.

The second is about 15 minutes long and is titled “Randy Quaid Evi Quaid and Lies Told to them by the state department”. He was also nominated for a best supporting actor Oscar in 1973 for his role in “The Last Detail”.
