The actor was detained Tuesday morning as he was on his way to check in with Canada Border Service Agency officials.

The Oscar-nominated actor, best known for his work in feature films such as the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” movies, “Brokeback Mountain” and “Kingpin” – along with his Academy Award-nominated performance in “The Last Detail” – is reportedly scheduled to appear Thursday before the Immigration and Refugee Board in Montreal. Evi confirmed their arrest on Twitter, hours after denouncing the country and the citizenship she received in 2010.
The couple fled to Canada in 2010 after claiming that they were targeted in a plot to kill Hollywood stars.
It’s Quaid’s second arrest in Canada this year.
Quaid and his wife were arrested in California in 2010, once on charges of failing to pay their bill at a hotel, and another time on suspicion of burglary and entering a building without consent.
Randy, however, spends a few time toward the end of the video telling Evi she’s saying the same thing “over and over and over again” in “ineffectual ranting”. “I’m perfectly willing to face all that stuff”, Quaid said in the phone interview.
Santa Barbara Senior Deputy District Attorney Lee Carter said an extradition order was active against Quaid on a felony vandalism case.
April: Randy Quaid is sent back to court after resurfacing in Montreal, and tells a hearing that all he wants to do is be with his wife, no matter what conditions are placed upon him. “I would like to have the issues in Santa Barbara resolved so I can move on with my life”.
After arriving in Canada in 2010, the Quaids lived in Vancouver, Toronto and Ottawa before moving to Montreal.
Randy Quaid later withdrew his refugee claim and applied for permanent resident status.

He said the couple’s behavior, statements and videos they’ve posted to social media, including a sex tape, are an act and a way of expressing themselves. “For 40 years I was well respected”, he told the AP. “I can’t be deported – that will screw up my ability to make films in other countries”, Quaid said.
