They may not have been besties during their time together in the Windy City, but they made the playoffs in 2010 and Cutler had a career best TD-to-INT ratio (13 to 7 in 10 games) the following season, despite often playing with inferior talent. It was really good (in some respects) that Martellus wasn’t here.

Cutler expects Gase to roll him out of the pocket more and believes it will make a big difference.
Marshall did speak very highly of one of his new teammates: Darrelle Revis.
Gase spent the last six seasons on Denver’s staff, including the last two as offensive coordinator. The Bears have said there is no timetable for when he will be taken off the physically unable to perform list, however he is expected to be ready for the season-opener against the Packers. I felt like our window [in Chicago] was brief as a result of we have been going to be good and our coaches have been going to get taken away [and promoted elsewhere in the league if we won games] and guys have been in contract conditions and accidents. However, his start in the league is not off to a good start as the receiver deals with a shin issue keeping him out of practice.
Marshall stated his off-the-field relationship with Cutler additionally deteriorated in the course of the season. Royal is going to be a major target for Jay over the middle of the field and early reports are saying that he is excelling in training camp.
The Bears have yet to get a proper look at their first-round draft pick. But once again, it’s an entirely new offense for Cutler. After catching 100 passes in 2013 and 118 in 2012, he caught just 61 balls for 721 yards – his lowest totals since his rookie season. He is also an above average blocker when he wants to be, so hopefully he will keep his focus for the entire game.
This is a soft forehand volley from Marshall that Cutler has to position himself correctly to return, as he’s been trying desperately to take something of a high road in this exchange and it’ll be interested to see if he can resist the urge to send something a little bit more forceful back in Marshall’s direction.
Donte Rosario/Bear Pascoe. Pascoe however is able to line up and play fullback, which could be important because the Bears are not carrying a fullback on the team. “We’re taking it one day at a time right now”.

New offensive coordinator Adam Gase learned under Martz during stints with the Detroit Lions (offensive assistant & QB coach) and San Francisco 49ers (offensive assistant). My hope though is that he can stay healthy and be a viable target when Bennett is not in the game.
