Adama Traore ruled out for up to 10 weeks

Klopp’s side are in the midst of a demanding run of games with Friday’s FA Cup third round tie at Exeter City followed by home league games against Arsenal and Manchester United.

“It is the FA Cup – it is huge for the fans and the players”. He masterminded a narrow victory over Stoke that gave the side the advantage in the Capital One Cup Semi Finals earlier in the week. “That’s the good thing when you’re young and that’s what we tell them”. But if they have a slight off day and we play above our potential then who knows?

“I’ve got some phone calls for Charles”, said Garde.

“In my opinion, and we will speak about this next summer, usually the best skilled and biggest talents should be in their own clubs so they can play together in the under-21s. Charles is a player that could leave the club but this is his decision mainly”.

Garde has suffered another injury blow with winger Traore ruled out for up to 10 weeks with a broken foot after he limped off in last week’s 3-1 defeat at Sunderland.

Injuries haven’t done his cause any favours whatsoever, with key players like Gabriel Agbonlahor, Alan Hutton and Carlos Sanchez and Adama Traore all now out with injuries. It was vitally important we got the win against Villa, but if we hadn’t, there still would have been plenty games to go. The Frenchman said: “My success is not here at the moment but in only two months it is hard to solve a problem which has been accumulated for many years”.

“This is not an excuse”. I have experienced it. We are going to remain concentrated until December, after that I will see’.

“I don’t want to spent too much energy on what should have happened”.

He added: “The group has been suffering for a long time now, since the beginning of the season”.
