Today’s game, from the University of Phoenix Stadium, will be the last of eight games to take place on Saturday in Week 2 of the NFL 2015 preseason.
Probably no Arizona Cardinals player understands the importance of a successful running game better than quarterback Carson Palmer does. Last week against the Kansas City Chiefs, the starters played one series on offense and one on defense. The Cardinals fourth round pick, Rodney Gunter will be taking over for Peters.
Cardinals RB David Johnson (hamstring) will be active for Saturday’s preseason game against the Chargers. That’s ok, though, because the Cards got the win when it counted a year ago, opening the regular season with an 18-17 win at home over San Diego.
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald gets ready to… Both Stevie Johnson and Jacoby Jones will be looking for their first receptions as Chargers.
Running back Chris Johnson signed for the team earlier in the week, and he hopefully can bring some much needed competition in the roster.
