City’s star striker Bruno Fornaroli was an isolated figure up front, while Aaron Mooy only showed glimpses of his quality with his side on the back foot.

Adelaide United will host the A-League grand final next weekend.

The incident saw City goalscorer Harry Novillo suspended for two weeks, meaning he will be sidelined for tonight’s semi-final rematch between the teams in Adelaide.

“We have to wait and see how training goes but normally he is OK to play and then it’s up to how the game goes”.

The powerful attacker scored twice in 12 minutes to send the Reds into their second A-League grand final – the other, a loss in 2007.

“We have to stick together and try to stop him like we did the last game”, he said.
