Just a week in, 25 is already a mega-hit, and its lovely 27-year-old singer undeniably a megastar, proving her Grammy-winning album 21 from five years ago was no lark – she’s got staying power. Part of 25’s massive sales could be attributed to the fact that the album is not available to stream in full on any streaming services.
Her latest album, “25”, was released earlier this month and is set to break records.
Tickets for Adele’s tour go on sale for the United Kingdom advance tickets on Tuesday 1st December at 9am GMT. “And I’m sorry it took so long but, you know, life happened”, Adele said about the album’s lyrical content according to Wikipedia. When she was interviewed on the Today show Wednesday morning, she was asked if she might change her mind.
“This is a unique situation to the USA market”, says Benny Tarantini, who handles PR for Adele.
Her second album, “21”, passed the 10-million-sold mark: the first reported by the Recording Industry Association of America to reach that milestone since Usher’s “Confessions”, which came out in 2004.
Despite the technicalities, Pandora is happy to announce that since putting up Adele’s album on their site, their listeners have increased in number and a lot of them have been listening to Adele’s first single from the album titled “Hello”.
Her last tour in 2011 was cut short when she needed surgery on her vocal cords.
Adele’s sales are reportedly fairly evenly split between CD sales and digital album sales.
The Oscar-winning singer’s latest release has already rewritten U.S. record books by surpassing *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached” tally of 2,416,000 to become the fastest selling album in a single week in the States.
The Guardian reports that Adele’s new album, “25” has broken records for its first-week sales. That’s 41,000 more than the previous record-holder, Oasis’ Be Here Now, sold in its first week.

Adele’s British and European tour will begin in Belfast in February and travel through cities including Stockholm, Berlin, Lisbon, Verona, Amsterdam and Paris before ending in Antwerp in June.
