Adele, Beyonce Beef: Singer Squashes Rumor Claiming She Turned Down ‘Queen Bey’
Rumor has it that Adele is beefing with Beyoncé, but the “Hello” singer wants fans to know that isn’t true in the slightest.

Adele’s Bey fandom goes way back: MTV notes that in 2011, Adele explained, “I was about to meet Beyoncé and I had a full-blown anxiety attack”. I’ve never really had that.
“I love Lana Del Rey”, she admits.
Oh well. We can dream, right? But on Tuesday, Adele halted the self-promotion train mid-interview to clear up a rumor about her peer Beyoncé.
No, apparently, there was a rumor that Adele snubbed Beyoncé’s invitation to record a duet-a duet that would have broken the Internet and immediately turned us all to ash-a crime punishable by death.
Adele recently stopped by Beats 1 to chat with Zane Lowe on the eve of her hotly anticipated third album, 25.
Asked who she saw as her contemporaries, she named Lana Del Rey, Alabama Shakes’ frontwoman Brittany Howard, Tobias Jesso Jr, Drake, Chvrches and The Maccabees. The second time I met her was at the Grammys and she remembered me, that was the thing. Adele never turned Beyonce down, and she never will turn Beyonce down. “I used to [expletive] love the drama of all of it”. Which I would never be so disrespectful as to do.
The conversation inevitably addressed Adele’s struggles with performing and the paparazzi, and how those struggles relate to her new life as a parent. The new album is expected to be all Adele since the “Rolling In The Deep” singer doesn’t need to use other famous voices to further her own career.
According to a report via the Verge, Adele and her team may decide not to have 25 released on Spotify.
