Adele admitted she “was so embarrassed” by her performance at the Grammys – which was marred by sound issues – but did so with her trademark cackle during an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday!

Through an ear piece, DeGeneres directed Adele what to say and do at the store on the Warner Bros. lot, including taking scissors from her purse, cutting some wheatgrass from a store plant and eating it, and asking a store employee to add some liquor to her drink.
“I knew where the mic was and I wanted to turn around and lift it up, but I froze”, she continued. “I feel like I’m alright now”.
“I’m always a bit pitchy anyways … I am!”
“Some people thought it was Bieber rehearsing but it wasn’t him, we are on great terms”.
She said: “I cried when I met Belle because I was talking to my kid and then she started talking and she sounded just like the character from the film and it freaked me out and I burst into tears”. She was recently named the top-selling artist globally with the release of her third album 25 three months ago. If it was a standout performance I would have cried as well. “I kept like spontaneously bursting into tears yesterday”. “When I’m flat and I’m sharp I’m just emotional”. In a post-Grammy tweet, Adele wasn’t too bothered by it, tweeting, “Sh*t happens”, but during a recent appearance on “Ellen”, the singer admitted it “threw the whole thing off”.
Highlights included Adele chomping on wheatgrass which she cut herself, insisting she received a large juice in a small cup and swigging Amaretto from a small bottle, while asking if she had to pay for the $5.50 juice because she is a celebrity.

Adele also told her host that she’s nervous “more than ever” ahead of her performances as the pressure mounts with her success. “I don’t think it could go that much worse than the Grammys though, so I feel like I am all right now”. “Anything that happens, dust it off!” she added.
