Adele dons disguise for TV prank

Wearing a prosthetic nose, lip-thinning makeup, gloves to cover her tattoos, and a fake chin to mask her self-proclaimed “bum chin”, the iconic singer is nearly unrecognizable as she greets the host of the prank-a particularly amused Graham Norton, who is in on the folly, of course.

One at a time, the fake-Adeles went onstage and sang a rendition of “Make You Feel My Love”, the Bob Dylan song Adele covered on her 2008 album “19”.

With her new album – “25” – to talk about, Adele has been seen on TV a lot recently around the world. Her confidence, her slow nanny voice, her walk…she clearly had fun with this. She also faked being nervous when she got on stage, even pretending to miss her cue. Almost instantaneously, after Adele’s unmistakable vocals are heard pouring out of Jenny, it clicked among the impersonators that Jenny from backstage was actually Adele in disguise.

Later on, after the women had waited for quite a bit backstage, Adele as Jenny began to feel faint, and blamed it on her nerves. At one point she feigned nervousness, telling the others she was going to be sick.

Who’s the best Adele impersonator?

Unfortunately, “Jenny” isn’t as well put-together as her uncannily similar-looking counterpart. When filming concluded, Adele hung out with the impersonators a few more and even sang with them.

Turns out Adele is almost as good an actor as she is an award-winning, chart-topping singer.
