Adele ‘overwhelmed’ and ‘grateful’ to release ’25’

She then joined a group of other Adele impersonators trying out for a fake talent show. Upon seeing her, the fellow impersonators didn’t suspect a thing.

Adele is a private person, but no so private that she won’t vaguely talk about her relationships. “They make you cry and that is why they do it. They are so clever”. “If you’re gonna let me down/Let me down gently”.

Adele has a young son, Angelo, with her partner Simon Konecki. While the revenue from album sales will pay off better, streaming is where the industry is headed, and her adherence to the established model proves as old-fashioned as her piano-driven torch songs. In this interview, though, the singer admitted that the said issues affected her in the past but no longer hurt her nowadays. “It would’ve actually broke the Internet if it was my bum!”

“I’m such a fan, oh my God”.

Adele is said to have been personally involved with the decision, which mirrors one made a year ago by American pop princess Taylor Swift when she withdrew her music from Spotify, complaining that the service was devaluing her music by letting its users listen to it free.

“I can’t wait for the new album… new music, it’ll be so incredible”, one impersonator says.

Adele’s big day has arrived – the release date of “25”, her first album in almost five years.

But if “Hello” is any indication, fans will have no problem supporting the singer by buying her album. Billboard thinks “25” will sell 2.5m copies in the United States alone this week, while Amazon UK says the album is its most pre-ordered ever.

It’s naturally an unfavorable development for Spotify, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), and any of the other premium streaming services still left standing, but it’s not as if Adele needs the digital exposure.

Adele’s representatives haven’t commented on this, but the answer probably lies in the unique position that the British singer finds herself in right now.

The programme, hosted by Graham Norton, will also saw Adele give her first live performance of new single Hello. “I’m making up with myself”. I have a family that I love, and I’m a lioness, and I want to protect them, and stuff like that.

It is available digitally; you can purchase downloads of the individual songs or the entire album on sites like iTunes. So I felt quite bad about that…
