Adele’s ’21’ becomes Billboard’s ‘Greatest Album Of All Time’
Seemingly, if Spotify want Adele’s album, they’re going to have to adhere to her demands. Take Alanis Morisette for example, Jagged Little Pill was hugely successful selling 15 million copies in the US.

Adele has figured out what works for her from a promotional standpoint, and that clearly means putting the music first, said Grand Junction’s Ron Wilson, owner and concert promoter with Sandstone Concerts.
Adele has broken so many records with her album, 21, that Billboard has chose to name it the top album of all time. “There will be no new music until it’s good enough and until I’m ready”.
Adele’s follow-up album, “25”, is due to be released on Nov 20. She multiplied her audience with “21”, her 2011 album full of breakup songs – angry, regretful, lonely, righteous – that used modern production touches around vocals filled with old-fashioned soul. Vulture have pointed out that even if she was to top the success of her last album, it might not be for years and hardly any other artists have been able to achieve this coveted prize anyway. Apparently Apple had (unsurprisingly) tried to get Adele to sign an exclusive with their platform, but were apparently rebuffed by the singer and her team.
Before this teaser, Adele had been silent for several years.
Adele has nothing to worry about when it comes to her art. Since the debut of “Hello” last month, the singer has received nothing but positive praise in regards to the song, something her lack of social media savviness caused her to miss. She’s granted one interview to Vice i-D and has everyone abuzz. While many of her peers also boost their bank balances with endorsements for popular brands, Adele has no intention of heading down that path. “And it was done, written and recorded that day”.

So if the most universally appealing pop star can command this presence and interest, will she save the music industry? “I don’t want to just be a few skinny mini with my t-s out”, she told Cooper. In a world in which everything bespoke, free-range, artisanal and overwhelmingly Etsy-ed now feels like just another cynical ploy to separate you from your money, Adele is the real deal.
