Adele’s ’25’ not available for streaming on Spotify or Apple Music

“Can’t wait for the new album”, one of the impersonators says in the clip.

When was the last time you bought a full length album, either in digital or hard form?

The comeback album emerges four years after 21, her last release, which smashed records, garnered numerous awards, and sponsored countless breakup recoveries. Could it become the first album to sell a million copies in more than one week?

Adele’s representatives declined to comment on the decision, which follows a similar move by USA country-pop artist Taylor Swift over her album “1989”. “And a part of me keeps holding on / Just in case it hasn’t gone / I guess I still care / Do you still care?” .

“21” was the top-selling album in the United States for two consecutive years and, by a comfortable margin, the biggest release in Britain so far this century. First-week projections for “25” range as high as 2.5 million units, which would be the biggest opening since Nielsen began tracking album sales in 1991. This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success.

Adele is now in NY where she was pictured meeting fans on Friday (20 November)…

“I feel like my life is flashing by / And all I can do is watch and cry”, she sings to a delicate, Spanish-tinged guitar on “Million Years Ago”. Adele is in what she calls a very serious relationship with her son’s father.

The opening lines from 21’s “Don’t You Remember” are chill-inducing: “When will I see you again?”.

“We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify”, a Spotify spokesman said in a statement on Thursday (19Nov15).

While her previous songs had been inspired by heartbreaks and loss, the version of Adele who emerged this year emanated an aura of content and happiness. While I can’t say this is my favorite song on the album, it definitely holds its own as a decent track. “And the drum ‘n” bass soft soul of “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” features the lines “We’ve gotta let go of all of our ghosts/We both know we ain’t kids no more”.

“When We Were Young:” Adele is known for a few of the most awesome ballads in the world and this song would be no different. “And at the same time, it’s concerning that there aren’t many more things of that quality”, Apple Music executive Jimmy Iovine said in an interview. “A lot of her following is older than Taylor Swift’s”, Rolling Stone editor Anthony DeCurtis recently told USA Today, “and they are people who will buy a CD or download a record”, as opposed to listening on Spotify or another streaming service.

Throw in the way that almost every song seems obsessed with the one that not only got away, but left a trail of emotional carnage behind, and you’ve got a record that makes Morrissey sound like the happiest man on planet Earth.
