Adele’s 25 set to make United Kingdom chart history
According to Billboard, if digital and CD projections are correct, Adele would be selling about 2.5 million units in her debut week, which would make it the largest-selling album in a week in Nielsen SoundScan history, which began monitoring album sales in 1991.

Taylor Swift’s album’s popularity was not affected in the least; “1989” sold over 1.2 million copies during its first week alone.
“Increasingly many artists are releasing music in cadences, so that they can get the most financially out of their new material”, said Vickie Nauman, a consultant who has work with Adele’s label, XL recordings.
The album is predicted to sell more than one million copies in its first week.
Spotify on the other hand also validated that its consumers will be restricted to Adele’s “25” album. No individual artist or group ever had Billboard’s #1 album of the year three times.
“I feel like my life is flashing by / And all I can do is watch and cry”, she sings to a delicate, Spanish-tinged guitar on “Million Years Ago”.
The eighth track on the album, “Love in the Dark”, grasps upon the idea of moving forward after heartbreak, while Adele notes her realization that her love has already vanished.
“When We Were Young” will be another classic off the album, a reflective ballad that showcases Adele’s powerhouse vocals.
A single from the album, “Hello”, is the first single to sell over a million American downloads in a week.
Adele has allowed “25” to become an intimate look at what is important to her. “Remedy”, produced by Ryan Tedder, is about her child, Angelo.
Adele also rejected the idea of having “25” available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Be sure to grab a few kleenex when listening to her album, as she will leave you speechless with her latest breath taking album “25”.
Another standout song, “River Lea”, which is an actual river near Adele’s hometown, focuses on trying to let go of the past but not being able to move past it because our individual pasts are firmly embedded in who we all are. Unfortunately, the audience had to wait for the answer to that question for more than four years, but on November 20th 2015, the answer could be found on Adele’s new album “25”.
Adele released 25, the much-anticipated follow-up to her 2011 project, 21, and as fans flocked to purchase the album, she took to social media to express her gratitude in an emotional note to her followers.
