25 was released worldwide on November 20, and Billbord has confirmed that the star has broken so many records with her new album.

The album has also had huge success in the USA, smashing the first week sales records having sold 3.38 million copies, and is the first record to sell more than three million copies within that time in Nielsen’s history. Earlier during this week, the album broke the previous record of 2.42 million copies sold made by *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached, which debuted in March 2000.
Its opening puts 25 easily atop the Billboard 200 and made it the best-selling album of 2015 so far, besting Taylor Swift’s 1989, which was released in 2014 and has sold almost 2 million albums this year.
Adele’s enormous album sales have likely been influenced by her decision to not make “25” available on streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music, meaning fans needed to purchase the album to listen to it.
Adele’s previous album, 21, sat atop the Billboard 200 list of best selling albums for 24 non-consecutive weeks and is the longest run in the top spot for a woman in the chart’s history, Nielsen said. The only album that has come close to competing with Adele’s new album is Justin Bieber’s “Purpose”. However, a week later Adele comes along and sells more than EIGHT times that number…
The tweet of Friday read: “A 27-year old mom who just uses social media is selling more records than anyone believed was still potential”.
Beyonce’s surprose album failed to match sales of upcoming albums by both Taylor Swift and Adele.
One week in, and Adele’s 25 keeps breaking records. To get an idea of just what an anomaly 25 is in today’s music market, Musixmatch is reporting that more people searched for Adele’s lyrics on Google than for torrents of the record.
25 Sold More than Twice the Combined Total of the Nos.
“You looked at those numbers and thought you’d never see those numbers again”.

Undeniably, the equivalent album unit figure for 25 comprising of 3.48 million. Adele is all set to embark on a United Kingdom and European arena tour next year – her first tour for five years.
