Adele’s new album not on stream for online fans

Continuing to break records in the music industry, Adele has revealed she is “overwhelmed” and “grateful” for the support her new album, 25, has received.

Adeles decision was most likely long in the making, however.

When 21 was first released in January 2011, it sold 208,000 copies in its first week, finally passing 500,000 sales in its fourth week on sale.

Before now, it had been announced that an enhanced version of Adele’s new work with extra tracks would be available through retailer Target, but no plans for streaming had been announced. Her reason to pull her album from Apple Music was that the company didn’t intend to pay artists during the free-trial period, something which angered many.

Adele is, in a few ways, a surprising savior for the music business. Up to date: 18:20 EST, 20 November 2015 As a record-breaking artist who’s sold tens of millions of records worldwide you would be forgiven for considering Adele could possibly be a little bit of a diva.

“She’s benefitting from paid subscriptions, but she’s using this as an opportunity to try and sell more CDs or downloads”, he said.

Swift later made a deal to add her newest album, 1989, to Apple Music.

In the past decade, the music industry has seen a seismic shift away from CD sales which declined by 80 percent toward music streaming that now makes up 32 percent of annual revenue.

“She’s taking her time”, the real Adele replies, a tongue-in-cheek reference to the common complaint among fans waiting for 25, her first new album in three years. It is now not available on streaming services, but you can download it at iTunes.

The NY Times reported that Adele “is said to have been personally involved with the decisions about streaming”. “25”, recently released by Columbia Records in United States, is expected to soar to great heights.

The album has also been accompanied by a steady marketing drumbeat.

Adele’s upcoming album “25” is bound to include tear-inducing songs that millions of fans eagerly await. On Saturday, Adele will perform on Saturday Night Live.

If those numbers seem over-inflated, then perhaps it’s time to revisit how successful 25’s first single “Hello” has been. The tech firm said it was thrilled to be able to offer the album.
