Adele smashes single-week USA album sales record in four days
Adele’s third album 25 has become the fastest selling recording in British chart history, smashing a string of industry records in a single week.

It took 25 just three days to achieve triple platinum ARIA accredited sales in Australia, which means the album has sold an incredible 210,000 units in less than a week.
The digits were released by Adele’s company, Melting Stone, early this week and it was said that much of her earnings came from her two previous albums, “19” and “21”.
Thomas Mesa from Ticketbis, who compiled the figures, has warned fans to be prepared when tickets go on sale.
Adele’s 25 has sold 800,307 is a historical benchmark as before this, no album had sold 100,000 copies in a single week this year.
A loophole in music licensing laws gave Pandora and other streaming radio stations like iHeartRadio and Slacker access to the complete 25 album, which sold 3 million copies in its first week.
If you have a television or even very occasional access to the internet, you are probably aware that Adele released a new album on November 20.
The previous record was held by Manchester band Oasis.
Her record has also broken the sales record in Canada, selling 261,000 albums in just over four days, according to People.
Oasis lead singer Noel Gallagher can’t be too happy about the beating, especially since he recently remarked that “nobody cares” what Adele is up to, blasting her along with several other modern pop stars. The site reported that “25” has sold over three million copies in the USA alone within less than a week after its release.
Immediately, I fell in love with “Million Years Ago”, a dreamy harmony akin to the background music one would hear in a Parisian cafe in the spring.
Its digital success has been tempered by the artist’s refusal to allow her album to be streamed via services such as Spotify, for which data was added to the chart in February.

Completing this week’s Top 5 are One Direction with their former Number 1 album, Made In The A.M. “Be Here Now” sold 696,000 copies in its first week of release.
