Adele reigned supreme at this year’s Brit Awards, winning four prizes including best British female solo artist and best album.

Accepting the award she recognised the female talent also nominate, Adele said: “It’s been a privilege to be alongside you”.
“To come back after so long away and be so warmly received is really lovely, thank you so much”, Adele began, clutching her award. “I want to take this moment to thank all of my fans”.
“‘I don’t know whether I’m crying over that video or the fact Tim Peake presented it. My son loves you”, she said before turning the air blue between sobs.
Adele won Best Female Solo Artist at the Brit Awards on Wednesday and used her acceptance speech to show support for fellow female artist, Kesha.
It’s the most award wins for an individual artist in 21 years.
“You’re probably getting fucking bored of me anyway!” she quipped in true Adele style. “I love you, I love you, thank you so much, all of you, you are so awesome, I’m so honoured to be here”.
Adele’s third studio album, “25”, was the best-selling album of 2015, and though its November release date took it out of the running for a Grammy, it has now gained its first major award-show recognition at the BRITs.
But it was the 25-year-old singer/songwriter’s surprise appearance playing guitar alongside Justin Bieber during his performance of ‘Love Yourself!’ that was the talk of the night.
One Direction’s “Drag Me Down” helped the band win its second consecutive “British Artist Video of the Year”.
Coldplay opened the night and took home their fourth Brit Award for Best Group for their seventh and possibly last LP, A Head Full Of Dreams.
Other awards went to James Bay, for best male, and Australian psych-rock band Tame Impala, who picked up best global group.
Before the show, Adele was listed amongst an exciting roster of performers set to grace the stage, including Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Little Mix and more.
Lennox said: ‘David Bowie is deeply embedded in the heart of British culture…
That year she was cut off by host James Corden due to timing pressures and she reacted by sticking up her middle finger and swearing at what she called “the suits” in charge.
