JNU students’ union President Kanhaiya Kumar, arrested in a sedition case in which anti- India slogans were allegedly raised in the university premises on February 9, was on Wednesday remanded to judicial custody till March 2 by a Delhi court. “We were standing against this government, not the nation”.

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh ( RSS) leader Indresh Kumar on Tuesday described as very shameful that the Congress Party is protecting people raising anti-national slogans. “It is unsafe and should be opposed”, he said. Human rights activists have argued that Guru was not given a fair trial.
