Adidas In ‘Epic’ Colombia Spelling Mistake
Or how Adidas proudly declared in a series of ads touting the country’s new jerseys, “Columbia”.

“We value our partnership with the Colombian Football Federation and we apologise for our mistake”, the statement read.
Fans vented their outrage on social media, describing it as an “epic” and “colossal” mistake.
As if to capitalise on the general air of confusion that has enveloped the tournament so far, Adidas promptly got into the swing of things by promoting an advert for Colombia’s new home strip up across the United States. “We immediately removed these graphics and installed new versions”.
“I am extremely exhausted of seeing my country’s name misspelled in nearly every setting I’ve found it mentioned”.
The misspelling of Colombia is so common that it sparked the social media campaign #ItsColombiaNotColumbia in 2013.
Adidas has apologised to an entire country after mistakingly spelling its name wrong on an advertisement.
