Adobe Lightroom For Mobile Is Now A Completely Free Standalone Photo Editor
Prior to this week, the free Lightroom app was dependent on the desktop version of Lightroom and it required users to have one of Adobe’s Creative Cloud subscription plans.

The change is part of Adobe’s wider efforts to appeal to more consumers.
An unbelievable new prototype demo from Adobe at its MAX conference in San Francisco showed a camera app that can intelligently remove tourists and other obstructions from photos.
As a result, iPhone and iPad owners can now use Lightroom Mobile locally on their smartphone or tablet without needing to install anything else. However if you wanted the power of Lightroom but on your phone, you’re in luck because Adobe has announced that Lightroom will now be a standalone app for mobile, and best of all, it will be free.
The company’s Adobe Stock stock image service, launched in June, is also expanding with new support for video content. And Adobe is adding more capabilities for business and enterprise users of the service, with options for pooled licenses, new reporting tools and help with license management. While professional photographers or creative enthusiasts will still rely on DSLRs and more serious editing software, others are simply amateur photographers who want to edit the images they took with their smartphone camera.
Users can still sign in with Creative Cloud if they choose to and there is a trial if they wish to participate in it, but otherwise the app is completely free.
