Happy holidays! Our gift at DPG to you: A complimentary download of Lightroom Mobile for your iOS or Android devices!

Adobe Lightroom, one of our most-used photo editing tools here at DL, is now free to use on Android devices without a creative cloud subscription. ‘The ability to use Lightroom for mobile without a paid subscription means that anyone can take advantage of all of the organisational, editing, and sharing abilities that Lightroom for mobile offers, ‘ Adobe said in a blog.

Chances are very few people who didn’t own or care about the desktop version were willing to pull out their credit cards for Lightroom Mobile, even with a free trial.

Lightroom is one of my top personal favorite softwares simply because it makes photo editing easier and faster. You’ll be able to edit and organize all of your photos, as needed, without subscribing to Adobe Cloud.

Lightroom Mobile for Android 1.4 is available starting today from the Google Play store.

The one catch is that if photographers want their files to sync with their desktop files, they will need to pay for Creative Cloud. We’ve seen Android grow as a platform over the years, with billions of users around the world.

Lightroom is now entirely free on mobile
