Anderson met Tonya Couch at DFW Airport personally, he said, and rode shotgun in the Tarrant County van that returned the fugitive from Fort Worth.

According to the Inquisitr, Tonya Couch was flown last night from Los Angeles back to Texas to appear before a judge to find out what will happen after fleeing the country with her delinquent son. She is scheduled to be arraigned at the Tim Curry Justice Center at 9 a.m. Friday.

Afterwards, Couch’s lawyer complained to the judge that Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson had asked Couch questions about her passport, visa and belongings in a courthouse holding cell without an attorney present.

Anderson told reporters Thursday he’s confident the teen eventually will return to Texas.

According to ABC News, Couch, who was extremely drunk after having several drinks, was 6,000 pesos short on his bill, which is roughly $345.

Then a video appeared showing him at a party where people were drinking. When they went on the lam, they headed for the resort town of Puerto Vallarta.

Ethan Couch was sentenced in Tarrant County to 10 years of drink- and drug-free probation, which critics saw as leniency because of his family’s wealth.

She also disclosed to Salvant that she and Fred Couch are still married. “The charge is punishable by two to 10 years in prison”. Couch’s attorney Stephanie Patten got held up in traffic and could not be by her client’s side.

He received only probation after a defence expert argued that Couch had been coddled too much by his wealthy parents, a condition the expert called “affluenza”.

Breitbart Texas reported that high-profile Mexican lawyer Fernando Benítez is fighting the teen’s extradition back to the U.S. Benítez filed a petition claiming Couch’s constitutional and civil rights may have been violated, highlighting that the teen’s U.S. crimes should have no bearing on Mexican officials or Mexican courts. The diagnosis, which is not recognised by the American Psychiatric Association, was widely ridiculed.
