Afghan doctor: Bombing kills 17 civilians near U.S. base

At least 12 Afghan civilians have been killed in two separate roadside bomb explosions in the country’s east and north.

The strike happened near a gate toward the bounds of this place of Khost in which a number of vehicle was quit, Khost monitor necessary Faizullah Ghairat said.

Hamedi added that out six civilians who are wounded, two are in critical condition.

Al Jazeera’s Jennifer Glasse, reporting from Kabul, said that the attack happened just before 7pm, when many people were breaking their Ramadan fast.
