The 36-year-old from Plymouth, Minnesota, in suburban Minneapolis, was assigned to the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, 9th Field Investigations Squadron at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.

The development came a day after a Taliban suicide bomber killed six USA troops near a Kabul base – the deadliest attack on Americans in the country since August.
Adrianna Vorderbruggen, who became the “first openly gay female active-duty service member” to be killed in action, according to the Daily Beast.
Condolences to his family are being published on Facebook pages.
Tuesday night in New York’s Madison Square Garden, 18,000 people attending a hockey game between the New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks observed a moment of silence for Lemm while his picture was displayed on the video board above the ice. Under “don’t ask, don’t tell” Vorderbruggen could not tell her superiors she needed leave to help deliver her son. The other victims of Monday’s attack included Air National Guard Technical Sergeant Joseph Lemm, 45, a 15-year veteran of the New York City Police Department who also volunteered in the Guard and was on his third deployment to war zones. Staff Sgt. Peter Taub was stationed in South Dakota, but grew up in the Wyncote area, just 5 miles from Center City Philadelphia.
“He was a really good family man, loved his wife, loved his (3-year-old) daughter”, Taub said.
Lemm and Bonacasa were assigned to the 105th Airlift Wing at Stewart Air National Guard Base in Newburgh.
The Taliban spokesman for southern Afghanistan, Qari Yousaf Ahmadi, claimed on Twitter that “Sangin district has completely collapsed to the Taliban” and that they had captured Afghan soldiers and ammunition.
Lemm was promoted to detective in January 2014 and served in the Bronx Warrant Squad.
“It is with deep regret that I learned today that six USA service members died in Afghanistan Monday”, Defense Secretary Ash Carter said in a statement.
She said her son, who lived in Manorville, New York, was proud of serving his country and was a “man of integrity”.
“We already said that our forces are weak and need backup but because we have no communication with our forces, we don’t know whether the Taliban have captured Sangin or not”, he said.
