After championship hat trick, Chicago celebrates Blackhawks
Kane said that in a couple days, players will leave Chicago and return to their hometowns – a necessity, he said.

The festivities began Thursday morning about a mile from the team’s United Center arena and concluded with a rally before a capacity crowd at the 61,500-seat Soldier Field – where the Stanley Cup was on display.
There is only a possibility of the Chicago Blackhawks third Stanley cup celebration flying away with the free agents.
From the hoarse tone of Toews’ voice, it appeared the Hawks already have taken more than a few local establishments into overtime this week. The screens next to the stage cycled between parade coverage and commercials, and a large area on the field was reserved for guests of the Hawks and city of Chicago.
“
I know you said I’ve been growing up, but watch out for me the next week”,
he said.
There is no reason that a dynasty that continually hovers near the top, and wins when the chips are down and others strive to be exactly what they are should block out the real attention the newest dynasty should reckon. It’s a good move for the future, and I’m sure most Blackhawks fans will admit that, however quietly.
Once again, goalie Corey Crawford used expletives in a celebration.
Duncan Keith, the defenseman from Michigan State who won the Conn Smythe trophy as the playoffs MVP, hinted at another win saying, “Four sounds better than three”.
Before Quenneville spoke, the crowd cheered for past members of the Blackhawks, including Bobby Hull, Denis Savard and Tony Esposito.
Ex- Blackhawks star Stan Mikita, who suffers from a progressive brain disorder, wasn’t left out.
Announcer Pat Foley called it “unprecedented”. And the city of Chicago was excited to honor and celebrate the six-time Stanley Cup champions! The second-ever CGHA tournament is expected to draw 160 players, with 10 teams and two divisions. “Let’s keep this red machine rolling!” But this year’s run was different.
But in a season rife with off-ice challenges – namely the deaths of assistant equipment manager Clint Reif and former Hawk Steve Montador – the team overcame its biggest on-ice obstacle en route to its third Cup in six years by adding pieces to the roster and changing its style of play the remaining 21 games of the regular season. When Chicago won five years ago, the team was full of babies – at least in NHL terms.
“I’m going to try to be a little more professional”, Crawford said a day earlier, according to the Chicago Tribune.
With regards to forwards, Vermette will most certainly leave Chicago for a new team, Brad Richards and Andrew Desjardins would only stay if they were to take discounts, -which is a possibility-Joakim Nordstrom and Marcus Kruger may receive higher offer sheets than what Bowman could afford.
