A deaf woman was able to hear her boyfriend’s voice for the first time after being given a cochlear implant for her ears.

The university medical center removed the video at the request of the couple, a spokesman told The Huffington Post.
The patient, already overcome with emotion from having her hearing restored, got an even bigger surprise when her boyfriend got down on one knee and proposed to her.

The audiologist adjusted the volume level, and Diaz’s boyfriend, Kevin Peakman, asked if her if she could hear him. “I wanted to make the first thing you hear was me asking you to marry me”, said Peakman.
“It sounds amusing”, she laughed.
“You hear yourself, huh?” audiologist Dr Vicki Gonzalez asks, to which Ms Diaz nods her head in response. “Because I love you so much”.

She started crying just a little harder and said, “There’s so much going on!” The video’s gone viral, with more than 100,000 views in less than a day.
